About Us
Bradley Barrett (a.k.a. the Sheriff of Old Town) started his architectural salvage business in 1996.
"I've always had a passion for recycling materials. It actually began when I was 11 years old and collected aluminum cans while delivering newspapers." He quickly realized he could create additional income while helping the community and saving the planet's valuable resources.
In 1996, Bradley started dismantling old barns so that he could reuse the wood on commissioned building projects. He found that other people were interested in buying these raw, reclaimed materials. Since then, he has dismantled dozens of barns, hundreds of houses, worked on numerous selective demolition projects and consulted for Warren Wilson College, Keller Williams Realty, D.H.Griffin Wrecking Co., New Belgium Brewing, and Brother Wolfe Animal Rescue.
Working with homeowners, architects, builders and designers, his reclaimed materials are used on new residential and commercial construction, old home repairs and renovations, as well as a wide variety of decorative and upcycling projects.
